Home Renovation Programme for Energy Efficiency Modernisation 2025

The Energy Efficiency Home Renovation Programme in its current form will be discontinued on 17 January, but will be launched in a new form from 20 January, under the name KEHOP Plus Home Renovation Programme. This programme will support energy efficiency investments in residential buildings in Hungary through a combination of interest-free loans and grants.

• Tender details: It can be used for energy efficiency upgrading of residential properties in Hungary. The budget for Budapest is HUF 6.19 billion, while HUF 66.82 billion is available in rural areas.
• Support amount: Maximum HUF 6,000,000, 50% non-refundable grant.
• Energy savings: At least 30% reduction in primary energy consumption is required, to be verified by an energy certificate.
• Competitors:Age, able-bodied natural persons who meet the property use and legal requirements.

Rural Home Renovation Programme 2025

From 2025, the Rural Home Renovation Program will be relaunched and available in defined smaller municipalities. A maximum of HUF 3 million can be claimed, covering 50% of the renovation costs.

• Who is it for? Families with children and Hungarian citizens meeting certain criteria can apply.
• Renovation objectives: Wide range of housing renovation works, such as replacement of windows and doors, insulation, energy efficiency upgrades.
• Accompaniment: A soft loan is available as an accompaniment.
